Our client, an Investors in People accredited organisation based in Bridgend, is part of a truly worldwide business with a global brand and reputation for supplying high quality FMCG products into a demanding retail environment.
Leading and motivating a dedicated customer services team, you will enjoy responsibility for the complete order intake, management and delivery process utilising SAP sales order processing and a wide range of management procedures across the operation.
This is a highly influential role within the business and you will work closely with the sales team in reviewing the latest sales forecast data, interpreting customers future requirements, amending plans, updating pricing information and managing stock levels in order to maintain the existing high standards of “first time in full” delivery performance from their state-of-the-art logistics facility in Germany.
You will also adopt a pro-active approach to identifying all opportunities for improving a range of logistical KPI’s and will implement effective systems to better manage processes. You must be able to demonstrate the ability to develop strong working relationships with internal teams, European colleagues, key suppliers across the distribution chain and high profile retail account customers. There will also be the opportunity for occasional travel to the European HQ and to visit customers.
Educated to degree level or equivalent and possessing strong communication, analytical and commercial skills, you will be an advanced spreadsheet user and will have knowledge of SAP and EDI systems. You must be able to demonstrate a sound track record of achievement within customer services/sales operations management, where the ability to respond rapidly to customer demands is the norm. You will also have excellent people management skills and experience.
